Feb 11, 2008 UPDATE

All images but one uploaded to Secret gallery This one requires to be resized to max 1000 pix high.

and especially to those who helped me naming properly the file and sending a link to their DA profile.

In next days I will move previous project altered images Mark to Altered--Image gallery, while the current versions of Emma beach will stay at pbase till the next photography is added for your altered editions.

Feb 7, 2008 UPDATE

It happened that DA users requested an original file but have not received it... probably because of some problems with e-mails.

On the bottom of this journal there are icons of "Who got the file" and "Who sent their versions".

I check inbox every day and update the lists, so if you requested and have not reveiced any answer or you sent your altered version and you can't see your icon please leave a comment below or note Altered--image.

!!!!! REMEMBER - there will be prizes this time.... a 4Gb pen drive for best image (voted for by independent judges). !!!!!!



This is a PROJECT GALLERY started by
The idea is to compare different edition styles on the same photography.


The rules are simple:
- Andy or other DA artist choose an untouched photography and note about it in their journals and also at
- If you want to participate please send an email to alteredimageDA@googlemail.com and you will receive a full size image.
- Your task is to edit this photo in YOUR STYLE. You can crop, colour, texture etc.
- Once ready, please resize it to 1000 pix maximum high and save to *.jpg file at 9 or 10 quality.
- Ready files should be sent to alteredimageDA@googlemail.com with your deviantArt name in the subject: "Altered--image by…….’
- Please write also your deviantArt name/nick in the file name and paste a link to your DA profile. It helps in uploading photos to the galleries.
- The images are initially uploaded to a password protected gallery here: Secret Altered--Image Gallery (those who participated know the password and they will keep it secret).
- After a few weeks, when the next photo is ready, the previous will be moved to an open gallery at deviantArt Altered--Image GALLERY to show our versions and to attract more people to join the project

You will have one week from now to request the full size image. To receive it please email alteredimageDA@googlemail.com putting in the subject line 'Request for altered--image4' and please include a link to your profile in the body of the mail.

Then you will have one week before close of entries.
So the end of this turn is on Monday Feb 11th.
